People. Being the Worship Pastor, my answer should probably be music but, in my opinion, I have been fortunate enough that I was mentored by pastors who taught me that God comes first, people come second, and music falls in somewhere thereafter. Love it when a student “gets it” and grows in their spiritual walk or when young families get plugged into church or when senior adults invest in younger generations or when people come into a service and worship in response to what God is doing in their lives.
Started leading worship when I was in high school, and continued to lead while in college. Worked in student ministry as a student pastor and worship leader for a number of churches in and around the DFW area for many years. Met my wife and worked on staff with her before moving down to the Houston area (my home) to become teachers. We still lead worship for churches in the area. Finally, after a few years, moved back into full time ministry and served a church before coming here.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
Going to sporting events. Going on dates with my wife. Vacationing with friends and family. Watching a good movie. Exploring new cities. Going to live concerts. Or staying at home and watching whatever reality TV show my wife wants to watch.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT FBC?
The people. Not just the staff but also the people that I have met on Sunday and Wednesdays. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind. My wife and I are “people” people, and we’re especially drawn to kind and welcoming people.
