Truly, this student ministry is my passion. Student ministry has been on my heart for years and it is an absolute privilege and blessing to be able to work with our awesome students! I live and love to serve them and our ministry and glorify the Lord all the days of my life.
This is my fourth year working at FBC Midlothian but my first year in this position and I already love it. For the Summers of 2018, 2019, and 2020 I was a Summer Resident Intern with Elevate. Since graduating from Baylor in December, I have worked as the Youth Associate and now as the Student Ministry Administrative Assistant.
My family has been faithful members of FBC Midlothian for roughly a decade now and we love it and grow more here every year. My mom, Rebekah, is a labor and delivery nurse in Ft. Worth and my dad, Eric, is the Theatre Arts teacher at Walnut Grove Middle School. My younger brother, Luke, is a theatre major at Midwestern State University and I would not be who I am today without him. He is also very involved in both Kidlothian and Elevate!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
In my spare time, I am typically still at the Student Center because I love being with the students as much as possible! I also dabble in the makeup industry and often work weddings on the weekend doing bridal makeup.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT FBC?
I love that this is and has been my church family for the better part of ten years now. I love that every single day I get to do what I love with the people I love. The Summer after my freshman year at Baylor while I was interning here, I was not sure what path God was leading me down for the future. One day, I looked around at the students and staff, realized how much I loved it, and thought to myself “Why can’t I do this for the rest of my life?”. I realized that I could and I have been doing it ever since! I don’t know that I could do anything else with my life and FBC allows me to grow my passion for service and ministry every day.
